The NTA855 is a six-cylinder, four-stroke engine that operates on the diesel cycle.

It has a displacement of 14 liters (855 cubic inches), giving it the 855 designation. The engine features a turbocharged and aftercooled design, which enhances its power output and efficiency. The turbocharging system compresses the incoming air, increasing its density and allowing more fuel to be burned, resulting in higher power production. The aftercooling system reduces the temperature of the compressed air before it enters the engine, improving its volumetric efficiency and performance.

The NTA855 is available in various power ratings, ranging from 250 horsepower to 400 horsepower. It delivers high torque output, making it well-suited for heavy-duty construction applications that require exceptional pulling power and load-carrying capacity.
